The towns are back in boys! THE TOWNS ARE BACK IN BOYS! That's right, the Kaiju Hollywood Bad boys Martin, Luke and Brandon had on the super talented/super hilarious Jess Martínez to talk about the 1993 tokusatsu movie classic Kamen Rider Zo. It's a wet, goopy movie full of naked men in forests. This will all make sense if you listen to the episode, I promise!
It's Midwestern Horror month over at Podzooky so you know we're kicking our 69th (nice) episode off the right way by having on the returning king Jamie Carbone to talk about Stephen King's coked out cult classic Maximum Overdrive. Join the Hollywood Kaiju Bad Boys Martin, Luke and Brandon as they talk ToonTown, OJ Simpson and the embarrassing Watchmen movie. Also... another spooky special guest might just pop up in this one! OoooooOOOOoooohh!
Have we got a movie for y'all this week: A kaiju film made in North Korea by a kidnapped director titled Pulgasari. The Hollywood Kaiju Bad Boys Luke, Martin and Brandon have back on special guest and all around great comedian Jon Torres to talk about funny hats, Bone Drones and being ashamed.
We just had on the fantastic comedian and perfect buddy Justin Luke, all the way from St. Louis, for Podzooky to talk Big Bad Beetleborgs and boy, is this intro long and full of commas. It's a super fun episode with Hollywood Kaiju Bad Boys Martin, Brandon and Luke that include friend's squirtin', Zordon impressions and someone saying their social security number way too many times.
Oh wow, episode 50 of Podzooky already? This sounds like cause for a real celebration! But it doesn't! We planned poorly and forgot that this was episode 50 and recorded our next episode as episode 50 so long description short: here is episode 49.9 with our good comedy bud Zachery Boyce talking about the Kaiju film Gappa AKA Monster from a Prehistoric Planet. It's a great time all around and the Kaiju Hollywood Bad Boys Brandon, Luke and Martin decided to put out matches on their tongues during the episode so there's that.
Oh wow, we actually watched a good, classic movie on this week's Podzooky! We had on special guest Danny Felts, all the way from New York, to talk about how there is no ethical consumption under capitalism and stroll down memory lane of the night he watched the Ladies Man and the Warriors back to back. Also we give a call to Aaron Klopfer that, of course, derails us into talking about hentai and t-shirt ideas.
To help get us into that Spring time mood, the Hollywood Kaiju Bad Boys Brandon, Luke and Martin had on returning guest (and champion) Mary Runkle to watch a well forgotten horror movie about giant rabbits titled Night of the Lepus. Talking points include January Q. Irontail, Vegemite, bothering Tyler Jackson about facts on Dave Coulier's career and how attracted our mystery guest is to Patricia Bunny (Lola Bunny's mom/milf). This one is an instant classic!
Leguizamo March Madness continues on Podzooky with the Hollywood Kaiju Bad Boys Martin, Brandon and Luke having on Chicago Comedian Tristan A. Smith to talk about the Super Mario Bros. movie from 1993. Talking points include 911, 911 again and Jim Davis's net worth. Finally, yet another phone call with Aaron Klopfer for him to confess his anime crimes.
Zookeepers, there's no easy way to put this: We watched the Pest. The good news is that the Hollywood Kaiju Bad Boys Brandon, Martin and Luke had on Julie Merica (Chicago comedian/improviser/hi-fiver) to get through a movie that can only be described as "obnoxiously Tone-Deaf" while being a fun train wreck to behold. Also we call Aaron Klopfer again to ask him about cloacae.
*rap airhorn* It's our biggest episode yet because the Hollywood Kaiju Bad Boys Luke, Brandon and Martin have on three smokin' hot hotties. That's right, we got Mitch Kamaiopili, Liz Getty and Aaron Klopfer all back on in one mighty episode. We watched Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad and talked about the science behind 2 girls 1 cup, 5 mile Hitlers and had some of the most dang ol' fun we've ever had around these parts.
It's been too long since we've watched a Godzilla movie so we're talking the Kaiju classic Godzilla Vs. Mothra '92 for this episode. We got another returning guest joining the Hollywood Kaiju Bad Boys who just happens to be Jonathan Shannon, amazing Chicago comedian and drummer. Conversations include exploding burials at sea, Mothra being more Christlike than Godzilla and Luke trying to sell us on eating cheddar on top of a gingersnap.
The turtle son of Christ, Gamera, is back with a vengeance and we got special guest Jennie Mac on this bad boy to talk about the classic Kaiju film Gamera 2 with Martin, Brandon and Luke. Talking points include Diva cup donations, SO MANY HATS and lots of Papa Roach. So basically it's our best episode yet.
Still with a few mic problems (but it's not too bad, promise!) the Hollywood Kaiju Badboys Martin, Luke and Brandon bring on special guest Jon Torres to talk big, curvy moths that go by the name of Mothra. In this episode we got magical tiny wagons, a question of who Ron Canada really is and Jon doing some excellent beer opening folio work.
Ferbus! Ferbus! Ferbus! The Hollywood Kaiju Bad Boys Martin, Brandon and Luke are back with Ferbus madness after watching 4 episodes of the late 90's sentai show Masked Rider with special Chicago funny man Mitch Kamaiopili. They all eventually go mad after finding out Robot Man's one plan.
Time to change the podcast name to Mothzooky (we will not do this) because the Hollywood Kaiju Bad Boys Martin, Brandon an Luke watched Rebirth of Mothra with local comedian and chocolate connoisseur Drew Brown. On this episode, we talk King Nachos (the ultimate Kaiju) and come up with the best movie idea which is just Godzilla on a BMX bike.
On a very special Podzooky, we watched Entourage the movie to satisfy an odd bet made by Iowa's own Tommy Morgan Jr. Brandon Kirkman, 1/3rd of the Hollywood Kaiju Bad Boys, is joined by special co-hosts Jesse Nicolaus and Jamie Carbone to descend quickly into madness after watching the biggest piece of turd out of Hollywood's butt. At one point Jamie starts talking about John Cena's performance in the movie Trainwreck and everyone recites the introduction to My Brother My Brother and Me if you want to grasp how wild this one gets.
*Blasts airhorn again* Mechagodzilla is back! The Hollywood Kaiju Bad Boys got one of their favorite Chicago Comedians, Logan Nielsen, to talk Street Sharks, bad editing and force Steve Ok back into the fray of arguing about the Jolly Green Giant. Whooo boy, this is a good'un!
*blasts airhorn* STEVE'S IN THE HOUSE! The Hollywood Kaiju bad boys are happy to have on Chicago Comedian Steve Ok to talk about how cool his dad is while introducing a new rating system that is truly one of the greatest things to happen to this podcast. Oh, also we talk about Godzilla Vs. Mechagodzilla I guess.
With loving, open arms we welcome Godzilla back into our lives with the classic film Godzilla Vs. Megalon. Join the Hollywood Kaiju Bad boys with extra good, fun comedian guest Hannah Streicher as they talk Easter Island, Race Dad and plugging Brandon's twitter. Good times, alright!
Honey, we had a great guest! And his name was Jesse Nicolaus, comedian and podcaster extraordinaire. The Hollywood Kaiju bad boys get into talking Jeffrey Combs, Wine with Dinner Man and the world's biggest penis. Boy howdy, it's a good 'un.
