A new day dawns in Fantasy Chicago as four new heroes set off for the first day of their new careers at NPC Inc. These heroes - a mighty baseball fan, an ambitious middle child, a small town friend, and a cool kid adjusting to fatherhood - arrive at the NPC Inc. shipping facility to begin their training and meet each other for the first time. Can our heroes at least make it to lunch? Or will boring paperwork, an overload of information, and a looming safety test cut their careers short? And who is watching them from the offices above, and what is his deal??
