The menacing and shrewd Mr. Kammen is said to retired from a great job running HR for a tech firm in the shimmering heart of Fantasy California's "Electrum Valley." His HR vestments were anointed with well-wishes and congratulatory cake, and his body was interred in its final resting place: a lake house he'd been restoring in Fantasy Illinois. But a terrible curse was placed on the once Pharoah of Forms by a lowly employee he'd treated cruelly (as was his way) and series of economic downturns, poor investment payoffs, and a bizarre case of force majeure left Mr. Kammen tired, broke, and lake-house-less. The resurrection of his once mighty career came as Dr. Gregsteen, a friend from Kammen's Electrum Valley days, came to dig up his old colleague to offer him a job at the newly acquired NPC Inc. Donning his favorite wrappings (his last impeccably tailored suit) and his mysterious medallion, Kammen rose (from the recliner in his shabby apartment); bitter, powerful, and ready to show the employees of NPC Inc. that there's far worse punishments than death (having to come out of retirement when your back hurts all the time, dammit).
