Google has announced a kind of solution for using google calendar on the cell phone. It is not a syncronization tool for the phone, however, but in stead a mobile phone friendly webpage displayed easily on your phone.
Ok, so you can hear it already - I don't really like it: It works ok, but have the severe drawback that you have to be online with your phone whenever you want to see your calendar. And it is not as good-looking as you might expect. Personally I would love an independent client software for the phone which can syncronize with the server whenever asked to.
In general, I rather have Google making stuff which improved their existing products (such as the impressive calendar) in stead of constantly making new devices, DNA search projects, complete knowledge archives, and what not, on aweekly basis.
