As reported by SR, Swedens minister of culture has announced that the expansion of DAB radio in Sweden will not continue. That puts an end to lengthy speculation about the future of the DAB radio in Sweden: there is none. Only about 2000 DAB radios has been sold in Sweden, compared to 400.000+ in Denmark which has half the population. Whether SR will embrace the upgraded digital standard DMB is not yet clear.
