As reported in Wired and on Collision Detection, is the theater group Les Freres Corbusier on February 8, presenting a play containing robots. The play is Henrik Ibsens Hedda Gabler, but the real news is the mix of humans and robots, as the text on the theater Heddatron homepage is also stating:
“With real functioning robots portraying half of the parts, alongside humans which will play the other half, Heddatron will be one of the first theatrical productions to use functional robots as actorts.”
The speech of the robots is prerecorded using text-to-speech software.
